Hebrew Academy of Miami, a growing Modern Orthodox school in sunny Miami Beach, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Hebrew Language Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and inspiring students in Hebrew language, reading, writing, and speaking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Jewish studies, experience teaching in an Orthodox Jewish setting, and the ability to create a warm and inclusive classroom environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver effective Hebrew language lessons that align with school curriculum standards and objectives.
• Instruct students in Hebrew reading, writing, and speaking, as well as Israeli culture and history.
• Develop and implement assessment strategies that measure student progress and inform instructional practices.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom policies and expectations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Hebrew language, Jewish studies, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Teaching certification and experience in Hebrew language instruction required; experience in an Orthodox Jewish day school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Israeli culture and history.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
